When I was 13 I discovered my mom named me after a Tom Cruise character.

There’s two explanations. Either she knew I was destined to sell out, or she wanted to proactively punish me for being the least talented sibling.

Probably both.

Before advertising, I worked in sales.
Hearing the word ‘no’ so often really helped ease the transition.
